Hi Suzanne,
I am unable to follow through to the solutions. When i click on the link to forum it returns 'error'. I am particularly in need of guidance in Valuations and Risk Models where i only see Hull chapters 11,13 & 17 in PDF format.

Hi, Suzanne,

There is a lot of information in the forum. Even thought I have sort by Level 1, relevant only, it still a lot: study notes, questions & answers, excel, video, etc...I get lost where to start first and how to use the remaining time to study FRM Level 1.

Could you give me some advices? Thanks!

Maudy

Thanks for your prompt response. This is what i do. I log on then click on 'How to' then click on 'Practice questions' then 'Answers in forum'. This returns 'Error'. I think i will just go straight to Forum.

Hi uloyok,

There may be two different issues:
Please note: for Practice Questions, paid members should use either the forums directly or the Study Planner, thanks!

Thank you, David

Hello David,

How do I find whether a PQ has farther discussions on it in the forum?
I tried placing question number and title in the search bar, but no results were returned.
BTW that used to work before the site update, but questions I searched for then had a serial number (i.e. Hull questions)
Right now I'm searching for feed back on L1 Question 6: mean & standard deviation, it has quantitative & risk valuation parts.

Please help

Hi Anakin,

Thank you for your interest in bionicturtle.com!

According to our records it appears you are a free member, meaning you haven't purchased an FRM preparation course via bionicturtle.com. As a free member, you will not be able to access the practice questions within the forum. I'm assuming those are the forums you are referring too as you were able to post in the the above. If you would like access to the other forum threads, you would need to purchase one of the following prep courses here.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi jlkmba, While duration/convexity is included in the FRM coverage, I do NOT recommend buying our FRM product if your purposes is an à la carte focus on duration/convexity; I think it will be too much surrounding context. We don't have a CFA L2 product, we affiliate with Elan Guides. (But thank you for your interest!)

Hi,

I have just joined this forum today but I seem to have a problem accessing the free study notes for me to have a look.

This is important for me as most of my reading time is done during my daily train journeys and I want to make sure that I'll be able to open them with my iPad2 which is what I use during those journeys.

At the moment I am at work and I seem to be unable to either open those .pdf files or even to save them somewhere (it creats a 0 byte empty file).

Also could you please let me know if that type of study materials, if I enrol FRM1 are also in .pdf files?

Many thanks.

Hi Rui,

Thank you for your interest in bionicturtle.com!

Please try here for the Topic 3 Notes sample. You should be able to save the file. I just tested it and it worked with no problem.

The study materials are in different formats depending on the contents:

Study Notes & Practice Questions = pdf
Learning Spreadsheets = online or excel
Videos = pdf (slides), wmv and ipod format

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes I have tried the sample file and it works as it is just a plain pdf file so I'll not have a problem reading the notes in my iPad.

The videos will also not be a problem for me as I'll be able to see the .pdf slides and iPod format.

I am now planning to enrol at the beginning of next month.

Regards,

Rui
