Hi Guys,

Planning to to take up FRM part I in may 2012 and part II in nov 2012. Following are the queries:

1. If registered separately, what would be the required fees needed to pay for Part I and Part II?

2. On registering, will the study materials be delivered as part of resgistration or do we need to pay extra for study materials?

3. Is it enough if i go through study materials, FRM handbook and couple of suggested books by GARP such as Bruce tuckman's fixed income and Options and futures by Hull

Thank you..!

Hi Moneybhai,

1) If you are referencing the GARP exam itself, see here for GARPS website with fees. If you are referencing our preparation course, please see here.
2) Bionicturtle.com is completely separate from GARP. Our preparation contents will not be provided simply just for signing up for the exam. You must purchase our course separately.
3) See here and here.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,

Thank you for the reply. I have gone through bionic turtle course details of FRM. Will be taking up the same.

Well I am refering to GARP in the above queries.
Correct me if i am wrong, so what i understand now is new candidate early registration for FRM = $650 (Enrollment fee + Exam fee). This includes part I and Part II. New candidate early registration for part I = $475 (Enrollment fee = $300 + Exam fee part I = $175).
Students need to pay extra $200-$300 for study materials. This does not include FRM Handbook. This answers question 1 and 2.

Question 3- Unlike CFA, there is no specific study materials which garp provide/suggests.

Thank you..!

Hi Moneybhai,

Yes, according to GARPS site it appears the new candidate cost for Part 1 would be: ($300 registration fee + $350 exam fee). For the Part 1 books thats an additional $250.

To my knowledge, GARP offers their handbook, etc. however they do not recommend any specific training providers. They have a list of different training providers listed on their website.

Thanks,
Suzanne
