Formula Sheets for Level 1 exam

David,

I have heard in the past few webinars that you will be refreshing the formula sheets for the Level 1 exam, to split out the formulas that are definitely needed and others that are valuable, but not necessary.

Do you have any update as per when the new formula sheets will be made available?

Thanks,
Todd Cheney

Hi Suzanne,

The 4 level 1 formula sheets you posted seem to have an error in the file. They can be downloaded, but not opened in adobe pdf.

Can you check them and see if they are correct?

Thanks and regards,
Todd

Hi,

Because you only recently finished the 2010 formula sheet for FRM1, i have been using and annotating the the 2009 formula sheet to help with revision. I was just wondering if there is much difference between the two? Can I stick with my 2009 annotated version!? I looked at the 2010 version and there seems to be alot more pages but I think this may be just because you have used more detail and spread it out more/differently...

Thanks

Simon,

Yes, you can safely stick with 2009 frankly (sorry it took me too long to get those new ones out). The overlap is very high. In fact, probably the primary difference (IMO, anecdotal) is that GARP retracted some formulas (e.g., softened "calculate" to "describe") ... in this respect, you are exactly right, the 2010 formula sheets don't really have more formulas, rather it's how we formatted it, and in some cases retained some supporting text; I think our cumulative 2010 formulas are probably fewer actually than 2009. So, yes i would safely stick with your annotated 2009.

Thanks, David
