Hi @David Harper CFA FRM,

pleased to hear that you get some well deserved days-off! Even more delighted that you decided to come to Europe (the UK). I do really like your choice of destinations, in particular because two of these locations are very close to where I studied (York > close to Durham) and (Bath > close to Exeter).

Curious why you picked these cities? If this goes too far into privacy I do apoligize!

To reiterate, very happy for you; and hope you have a little umbrella always by your side :)

When back a brief review would be much appreciated.

Hi @David Harper CFA FRM
It's been pretty hot here in London, but climate change is just a hoax ;)

So aside from the umbrella which @emilioalzamora1 correctly suggested, also be prepared for hot weather since the infrastructure is geared towards cold, so you end up feeling it more here (no air conditioning, etc).

Have a good trip!
Karim

Hi @emilioalzamora1 and @Karim_B Thank you for the kind words and travel support. We had a fabulous time in England. My brother and his kids started in Edinburgh, and wanted to head south to London. I joined them in York. We knew we wanted to see London (of course), so it was really just a matter of selecting two cities between York and London, given we had about ten days. After consulting Rick Steves, we opted for Oxford and Bath. We were charmed by York (stayed at https://www.churchillhotel.com/). But Bath was great fun (e.g., Thermal Spa, yes!), in no small part because we got lucky with https://www.georgeinnnsp.co.uk/home in Norton St Phillip, which allowed us to visit (eg) Frome, where we just stumbled into some awesome encounters. Then London was better than I expected. I'd been told it was like New York, but just for me personally, I was struck by how many conversations we had with strangers (not my experience of NY at all). So I just found London to be "warmer" than I expected for such a big epic city. We visited many of the typical tourist destinations; e.g., British Museum, Harrods, saw Mousetrap, Imperial War Museum (incredible Holocaust museum that haunts me still ...). I hope that's interesting, thanks again!
