HI David,

I completed my FRM Level 1 exam today. It was quite difficult in terms of time management. But I got what I achieved. With an IT background, I wanted to successfully comprehend Risk management principles and apply them to real financial situations. And in the exam, not more than 5 questions were alien to me.

I worked through all your videos and practice materials. I honestly dont know if I will pass the exam, but given more time, I could have solved most questions. I will post in here about my results when they arrive, but I think with your help, I have clearly managed to get the broader picture. Thanks for your application oriented slides, they were very helpful.

One suggestion to improve on your end could be to provide flashcards. Your materials do a great job in making the oceanic FRM material concise, but flashcards help people like me quickly glance through important concepts and formulas during travel. I did 4 word documents with screenshots of important pages from your materials that I used as flashcards. That helped a great deal in the last 24 hours as my memory is horrible!!

I hope to come back to you soon for level 2. Fingers crossed!! And again, thanks for the excellent materials!!

Regards,
Arun

Hi Arun,

Thank you for the update from today. To experience no more than five unfamiliar (or alien) questions, I think, is a very good signal.

The flashcards idea is tremendous. Of course, we meant the slide to achieve a similar effect but I see what you mean and I totally agree. I have already taken note so we can discuss (among our team) immediately how to implement. Thank you for a great, great idea.

I hope you get some relaxation time before the next level!

Hi Arun,

David & I had actually talked about this briefly before and really liked the idea. I have started to research some flashcard options and hopefully we will be able to add flashcards as part of our curriculum in the near future. Excellent idea and if you have any others please do share.
