Hi David,

What is the plan to release content for the Nov exam. Will you be updating the videos or the May exam videos will hold good?

Further, how about the supporting material like notes and spreadsheets, what is the schedule?

Please publish the schedule for the Nov 2011 exam.

Thanks.

Hi Jas,

The core material (i.e., videos, notes and spreadsheets according to the AIM sequence) is ALREADY published; i.e., we needed to finish before May, and May/November are the same each year (GARP updates December/January each year but only once for the year).

Practice questions are constantly updating

We are working on additional material ahead of the November exam (formula sheets) but I just haven't put those efforts on the calendar (yet). Not sure they are mission critical to a study plan but rather are meant to facilitate prep in the final stretch.

I hope that answers your question? Thanks, David

Hi Suzanne and David,

I see that for the practice questions for T1 (Foundations) there are still questions related to Grinold dated 2010. Are these going to be updated to show questions for the new Elton readings and update the question sequence for Jorion, etc?

Thanks

Joe

Hi Joe,

All of the 2010 PQ are still relevant to 2011 [even if the chapters were deleted]. They will help with your FRM prep and understanding. David will continue to add practice questions daily (in sequence with AIMs). He is currently on T3.Products and T9.Currents. If time permits, I'm sure he will begin on other chapters that were not covered.

Thank you,
Suzanne

Joe,

To add to Suzanne's reply, with respect to Elton & Jorion, before the November exam, I do plan to refresh Jorion but I do not plan to specifically cover Elton until 2012. Why? Because a Jorion refresh will be much more relevant to November 2011 L1. (As it's impossible for anybody to update all the AIMs each year, I have to make decisions and I'm somewhat confident the new Elton won't be met with entirely new/different CAPM-related questions).

Thanks, David
