GARP courses (Foundations; Risk and Regulation)

Hi All,

Have you been aware that GARP offers two financial courses?
Foundations: Level 1

and
Risk and Regulation: Level 2

Do you have any experience regarding these courses? Do you think they are worth doing after completing the 2 parts of FRM Exam? They seem more operation and regulation oriented at first glance.

Hi @JordanMatrix,

Yes, I have looked at these courses on Financial Risk and Regulation. IMO, you can easily pick up regulatory material from Hull - 'Risk Management and Financial Institutions' and of course, all the Basel papers. FRM Part II has a load of those readings.

Also, David's "This Week in Risk" covers latest regulatory advancements such as the 'Standardized Measurement Approach' for Operational Risk on Risknet.net. Also, the GARP website covers latest regulatory articles.
