(FRM) Foundations BT questions.

Hi David:

thank you so much for your continued efforts in getting us all of the new and updated materials on a timely basis as per your Publishing dates/calender. I just have two quick questions: First off, will there be a Bodie video coming up in the near future; i ask because i've only glossed over the APT material in hopes of watching the video first and was wondering if there will be a video on this new topic. Secondly, i was wondering if we should still know/study the material for (Delineating Efficient Portfolio's) as this topic was recently deleted in the AIMS statements, but would it be helpful or necessary to study this material for the upcoming May 2014 level 1 FRM exam. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. thank you.

Thanks for your kind words.

• Yes, there will be a new Bodie video, but I just don't want to commit to timing just yet if that's okay. It has been requested several times already, so as soon as I can catch up on the notes and several of the revised PQ sets, I will make it a priority
  
• With respect to Elton's Chapter 5 (Delineating Efficient Portfolios), please see https://forum.bionicturtle.com/threads/comparison-of-aims-2014-vs-2013.7466/#post-27676. My summary view is: yes, it would (clearly) be helpful, it is foundational material. Is is strictly necessary: No, only because the key concepts are indirectly explored in other readings and calculations.
