FRM Exam November 2021 in Sydney, Australia

Has anyone booked for FRM level 1 due in May-2021 from Sydney? I cant find any test centres in Sydney; only two in AUS one in MEL and one in Dandenong (outside of MEL). I wonder if GARP has pulled the pin on Sydney?

Your exam center will most likely fall in https://www.iccsydney.com.au/ (International Convention Center) in one of its big event halls. On the exam day, they vacate the halls and create an exam like environment where you'd see numerous other candidates popping up from nowhere in Sydney. Until exam day. I was under the impression that I was among the only few writing FRM1 in Sydney. There were at least 500 candidates sitting on that day.

Closer to exam date, you'd receive a formal notification in your GARP account about the test venue and admission tickets. Don't worry.

Good luck with your preparation. (Don't forget to carry your mask if C19 is still in trends in May)

Thanks for the kind words. What you are saying seems plausible. However, right now I cant book my test unless I select ether MEL or Dandenong centres, which is concerning since I cant actually take them up.

I wrote to GAPR customer service and hoping for a resolution. Will update.

Hello,
I am trying to sit the exam in Sydney, Australia in November 2021.
There are no time slots in Sydney that I am able to attend.
There are a lot of time slots available in Melbourne but with COVID I may be unable to travel to Melbourne.
Does anyone know if they will add more slots?
I have tried contacting all of the help desks but they just send me to the booking page without much further assistance.
Is anyone able to help?

Hi, I also have the same question.

In fact I actually checked the PSI website last Monday (2nd Aug) and saw 2 dates available for Sydney location (they were the 15th and the 23rd Nov from my memory). But this morning I checked again, Sydney location was removed from PSI website.

I wonder if the syd exam centre withdrew from hosting the exam / other COVID considerations.

PSI customer service wasn't too helpful - they asked me to refer to their website over and over again lol...

Sounds like we are having the same experience.
Each help desk I speak to refers me to the other one!

If we can't sit it in Sydney and aren't allowed to leave Sydney because of COVID restrictions, I wonder if we will get a refund or deferral?!

I got another response from PSI customer service - they could see the sydney location is opened on the 19th Nov… but I am still unable to see the location.

Got asked to call the customer service hotline which is not an Australian hotline….

RE refund, I believe it’s a no.
But deferral, from my memory, you do need to pay a fee to defer to future exams.

It seems a bit unfair to charge for a deferral when it is not actually possible to sit the exam!
