I am creating this thread in response to one of our members asking if there are sample writeups or specific information about submitting work experience. I think it would be very useful to current and future candidates to have more information about the actual preparation and submission. There are other threads that discuss the process (turnaround time, job descriptions, etc.), but if any of our members can provide suggestions about the actual process of submitting their information, that would be very helpful. I will also try to find different threads in the forum that may contain useful information for this thread. Thank you! :)

Hi @Nicole Seaman .

For work experience submission, I just received a response today from GARP stating that "Your submission was denied because: Experience end date includes a future date. Please revise"

Firstly, how do I correct or resubmit/ edit my work experience? When i click the "Submit Work Experience" button on the Garp website, I do not see a "edit" button for me to make any amendments. This is extremely confusing.

Secondly, what should I put for the future date if I am still working at the present job? As of today (e.g. 14 July 2022)? Garp wasn't clear on this so i need some clarification on this as well.

I have emailed [email protected] on these queries but I think I will have to call their inquiry hotline number as I don't think they will get back to me any time.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Augustine

@ANg7453 Unfortunately, GARP does not provide us with information on how to complete the work experience process. If you have already sent them an email, I would suggest trying to call the phone number listed on their website to see if you can speak to someone that can help to answer your questions.

Hi Augustine, I made exactly the same submission and included a future date as I am still currently in the job. Like you, I received the same email that my review has failed. I emailed and also tried to call but nobody answers the calls. I will be very grateful if you could share how you resolved this issue, as I wasn't able to edit my work submission online either. I will share if I am able to get resolution on my end.

Hi @elaineloh79 and @ANg7453 , I had also made the same submission by including a future date.
I was able to get in touch with a representative from GARP and they mentioned that there is a technical issue on the edit and resubmit button , that it doesn't appear on the page. They mentioned to me that their IT team are look at a fix and they stated that this should be fixed early next week. So hopefully next week we can edit and resubmit the experience.

Thanks.

Hello all,

I was super happy that is cleared the FRM-2 exam this August.

And I became super deflated when I saw "review failed" against my work experience submission to GARP.

I shared over 10 years of solid work experience in my write-up having worked since 2012 at a global retail bank in the 1st LOD.

I mean my role practically involves conducting client due diligence every single day apart from general client service. This is literally hard-core financial crime risk assessment and reporting - looking for signs of tax evasion, understanding clients' source of funds, potential sanctions breach risks, money laundering or terrorist financing risks among various other colourful things that could land my bank in the regulator's watchlist. Plus I actively work in preventing account takeover related fraud, digital banking security compromise, scams and other forms of operational risk.

So the question is why did GARP say this is insufficient? I didn't even remotely consider that they would reject my professional experience.

Oh and my job title was "Assistant Vice President Premier Elite Service Manager" and yes it has no explicit indications of risk management functions but is that even relevant?
