Thank you Irena. We do plan to update the product descriptions and I will keep that in mind when I update them.

Thanks again,
Suzanne

Hi Irena,

Yes, thank you. Absolutely, we need to connect those links ... sending them to the samples is a GREAT idea. We are on it :)
Thank you, it is so nice to get help like yours ... so glad you like the forum!

Hi Suzanne and David

I  admit that I too get a bit confused on how to get going. Maybe it is because the study planer by default comes sorted by most recent, which is almost oppositely sorted to the way I should start studying. The other thing is, also, that to me it was not clear that I find the videos, study notes, and so on under How-to. Now I know. :)

What helped me in getting more organized was reading the comments of the guys in this thread. I agree with them, a guide on how we should start our studies would be helpful. I normally start with books (or some sort of study notes), which I believe is not the case here. If I understood correctly, I should start with the videos because the description for study notes ends with a "It is recommended that you view the tutorials prior to using the notes." I assume that "tutorials" are videos (sorry, this might also be a silly remark due to me not being a native English speaker). If they are, maybe a word "tutorial" could be linked to the page with videos? Just a suggestion, ignore it if you find it silly.

The other issue that I have is that I am unable to determine how I should plan to do my studies. Maybe that is because I got spoiled by Kaplan Scweser who provided a Study Calendar, which told me what I should read and which videos I should watch on a certain day (of course, all depended on how many days I selected as "study days" before the exam). This was hugely useful as initially one has no overview over all available materials to determine how much time should be spend on this and that.

I hope this helps a bit with understanding how I got confused. If you want a comparison, it feels a bit like switching from an andriod smart phone to an iphone (or windows to linux). All of the sudden things (settings) are not where you are used to, but after some time you get used to it and it is all easy again.

I hope you found some usefulness in my babbling.

Hi Irena,

The reason we don't have a study guide that says: "You should read this and that on such and such day" is because we want to give everyone the opportunity of flexibility in their studies. Some people aren't able to study on certain days, so giving them actual days wouldn't work. Some people also grasp the contents faster than others, so its hard to put an actual date and time on the contents.

In David's notebook in the forum he did wrote a post in reference to how much time should be used to study, which you might find useful.

We are however working on putting together a pdf guide on the best way for paid members to use BT's site and contents. We will publish that ASAP and send an announcement once its been published.

Thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated!

Thanks,
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne

Thanks for your reply and the link. I am glad to hear that you are working on a pdf guide, and am looking forward to it. :)

Just to clarify, I didn't want to imply that you should be telling me how much time I should spend on this and that. It is more that I would like to have an overview, for example I would love to have a list of videos, and maybe the length for each of them, a similar list for study notes with number of pages... There is of course other content that is probably not possible to list this way (such as forum posts), and it is probably up to me to decide how much time I want to spend browsing through. If you had such a list for "fixed" content, and I give you the number of days I am available for studies, then you would be able to tell me how to distribute the content over these days. This would give me a general idea on how to set my pace.

Keep up the good work. Thanks,
Irena

Hi David,

I was looking for full length practice test for Part 1 and came across this thread where you've mentioned that this will be introduced in 2012 - if it's already there, can you point me to it please? If it isn't, is there a plan of doing it before the Nov exam? I am not sure if I've posted the question in the right thread but have done since the relevant bit has been discussed in this thread before...

Thanks
Mahesh

Hi Mahesh, rather than a single full-length practice test, we decided to follow GARP with the mock exams which are 20Q for P1 and 25Q for P2. We do two more mocks in edit that we hope to publish by the end of next week, thanks,

Yes, please, publish as much mocks as possible (even if they have already been used in your practice questions or any other source). This is the best way to see where to dedicate on this last week. Thank you!!!
