took FRM Level 1 in november and Can only register for FRM1 now -> did not pass the exam?

I tried this morning to register for FRM 2 and I got the following message

Because you have not cleared FRM Exam Part I or are not currently registered for Part I, we cannot allow you to register for FRM EXAM Part II at this time. Should I conclude that I did not pass the FRM1 november exam?

might be cos I gave both the levels and not only level 1. Do not worry , will get to know everything on Jan 4.

I dont know if this means anything, but 2 weeks ago, I managed to register for the FRM Part 2 (having taken the Part 1 in November). Today I just received this email.

Thank you for registering to take the 2011 FRM® Exam Part II on May 21, 2011. In follow-up to our previous email, your FRM Exam Registration for the 2011 May FRM Exam is now complete. Should you want to print a copy of the invoice for your records, please click here.

Perhaps it means I passed...if I doesn't, I'm gonna ask for my money back because I did not register for the Part 1!

Hey i got the same message and i guess it means we havent cleared our exam since it says you have not cleared FRM Exam Part I or are not currently registered for Part I since we have registered for the exam hence we can assume we have FAILED

Hey ronald did u register for only part 1nov 2010 and what does it say when u go the EXAM RESULTS to view it
coz it tells me that they dnt have my detaits in their database and when i go to register for part 2 it says that

I only registered for the Part 1 this past November. Then for the hell of it, on December 9th, I tried to register for the Part 2. I paid the $350 and got this message:

Thank you for registering to take the 2011 FRM® Exam Part II on May 21, 2011.

Please expect an email within the week from GARP with further important information regarding the 2011 FRM Exam.

Below you will find important information that you will need in order to access your GARP profile for future use, as well as the important Admission Ticket for the 2011 FRM Exam. Please store this information in a safe location so that you can refer to this in all future correspondences.

Two days ago I got the message I wrote above.

When I click on Results I get this message:
We did not find your details in our Analysis Database.

Should you require assistance please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

If you wish to try again please click here.

When I try to register for the Part 1 or Part 2 again I get this message: Our records indicate that you have already registered for 2011 FRM / ERP Exam.

If you wish to change the type of payment (e.g. from check, fax or wire transfer to secure online payment) please click here.

Should you require assistance please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

While this situation is kinda enabling me to sleep well for the next 2 weeks, I really wouldn't read into too much because the GARP site is garbage and this could easily be a glitch. I'll get sure to let you guys know if I really did pass so maybe it can help people gage a flaw in the system next time. GL and happy holidays.

I wouldn't read much into it.

I appeared for L1 in Nov - If i try to register for L1 in May it says

" Thank you for trying to register for the FRM Exam Part II. Because you registered for the FRM Exam Part I and the 2010 FRM Exam results have not yet been released, we cannot allow you to register for the FRM Exam Part II at this time. If I try to register for L2 in May it says -

Ronald might have been able to register cos he tried it quite early and GARP had not realized this by then.

Now they must have set flags in database and I dont expect them to have flags for people waiting for results and trying to register so it says either not cleared or not registered.

Lets wait till 4th and will come to know. If I don't pass, I am not writing it again. I was well prepared and if I don't clear now I don't think I can clear it next time.

I agree. There probably was some glitch in the system...I'd like to think that it permitted those who passed a chance to register early! Like I said before, how I managed to get this far in the registration process is extremely perplexing but for those that are/were unable to register, I truly believe that my case should mean nothing to you. Manish seems to think he passed and he got the same messages as most of you. I thought I had done alright on this exam. I'd guesstimate between 60-70. We'll know on Tuesday right...
