Is it too late for someone to start studying for FRM part 1(NOV 2012 exams) now or is there still time??

Is it too late? It honestly depends on what concepts you already comprehend as well as how much time you have to give for preparation.

Do we still have individuals purchasing for the November exam? Yes. However, I'd recommend that you base it on your knowledge thus far as well as the timing to take into consideration above. If you are not able to have the time prior to the November exam, you can still go ahead and purchase to begin preparing for next May as your purchase is valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. You would be able to access all of the current contents on the site as well as new contents published for 2013.

Suzanne Evans are we not allowed to DB link to the AIMs? (I can't recall the policy)

I frankly like to (politely) "scare" folks sober** with the AIMs ... unless the candidate has a crackerjack background, this is mission daunting. The best answer, in my opinion, to the question "is it too late?" is: take a look at the AIMs and decide yourself.

append: **I mean, into a sober perspective about what they will be getting into. Sometimes, with only a cursory look, some folks have no idea about the breadth/depth of even the P1.
