Practice questions on blog

First of all thanks for your response on my earlier 2 queries on the edit grids of SRF and skew_kurtosis. That was very helpful.

However, I need one more clarification on the practice questions that you put on the blog. They sound very intersting but the problem is with the given time constraint, I am only able to concentrate on core readings, screencasts and editgrids. I hardly get time to view the practice questions on blog.

Would that hamper my preparation for FRM?

Or is it OK if I lag behind on coverage of those practice questions and try to cover it later in the year?

Would appreciate your response.

Thanks

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

(Glad to help on others)

Yes, the time constraint is very understandable. I sincerly would *not* worry about not having time for practice questions currently. Rather, just allocate sufficient time in the weeks before the exam to be doing the practice questions. I think your allocation is generally wise (i.e., to defer these until later)...it will not hamper and I think that is a good/typical plan: early in the year, focus on digesting information (as you are doing), then later in the year, begin to shift/mix in practice questions...

...you may not realize, but I blog out for two motives: 1. to keep sharp myself (if i did not do practice questions, I would get dull) and 2. it is our only real promotion (GARP sells advertising but we do not spend on it, rather we focus on publishing some free content)....

but now that you have raised this point, I will ask my associate to prepare to package the relevant blog questions into a summary format (e.g., PDF) that we will publish just to the member page. In this way, you can have compact access to the (relevant) blog questions that you didn't have time for now. Does that sound helpful? David

David,
For what it is worth-I like the idea of a PDF summary as well-great idea;the questions, I find, help you absord the essential/actionable elements. The more the better.
