I did posted a reply on the related topic few hrs back but could not see t on forum so posting it again. Basically I am new to FRM course and my concern is on building the base for Market risk (Hull topics- Interest rate futures, options and swaps) which is very important to grasp tuckman lessons. Is it possible to have one bonus/practice bag on the important spreadsheets from hull on the related topics? Besides, it would be very appreciative if in few critical spreadsheets along with excel formulas, you can also post the keys for Texas calculator since I am new to it and it is very difficult to get the answers on the calc. I may sound demanding but I would really appreciate your help at this point of time since we still have some breathing space before we get in to the final months which would be very time constraint.

In case if you can not accomadate my request do let me know, I will try to get hold of some experience guy who could help me operating the calc for the important calculations.

Thanks

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

You wrote "my concern is building the base for Market risk (Hull topics- Interest rate futures, options and swaps) which is very important to grasp tuckman lessons" and, in my opinion, this is an absolutely correct view.

In regard to "Is it possible to have one bonus/practice bag on the important spreadsheets from hull on the related topics?" Yes, absolutely, I am preparing such a practice bag and the XLS/videos will be posted soon. I am glad you asked because I think there is a "critical mass" in the associated Hull

In regard to "can [you] also post the keys for Texas calculator since I am new to it and it is very difficult to get the answers on the calc" please see:

I think this blog post gives you almost everything you need. In regard to a screencast (for the TI), can i get back to you? It is a good idea, i would like to add to the paid area, but i need to confirm that i can find an emulator.

In the meantime, you will note that in regard to the calculators, it is a bit deceptive, maybe: you don't need to know too many functions.

Thanks,
David
