Spoke to GARP. They’re validating certifications on a first come first serve basis (so those first to submit certification evidence) and considering 1000s of people would have passed some of us could be waiting a while!

GARP uses FIFO method in validation process. Good to know. Thanks McLoughlin!
I submitted on 3rd January but late in the evening. Must be tons of them with faster fingers who submitted before me.
This is like auction.

now that I think about it, I got my results at 12pm EST day of results, submitted my experience around 5pm but I remember my colleague told me she saw her results online 12 hours prior. So maybe there is a batch of people who submitted their experience the midnight of results day

I was able to see my results on January 2nd by changing the date on my computer to January 3rd. I bet a lot of people did that and submitted their experience the same day, so even before the official results day. I submitted mine the next day (Jan 3rd) around 10pm ET time but still no update.

Last week, 2 users confirmed certification, 7 -8 days ago. Both submitted on January 3rd. If the majority of us also submitted on result day (Jan 3rd), they didn't solve our queries in 7-8 days or at least in 5 working days. At that rhythm, those who have submitted today would not be certified until 31/12 this year.
So it works pretty much like public bureaucracy in my country. That being said, I'm pretty familiar with such process.

if Asia gets their results first, then Europe, that means Pan-america is going to be certified last even though we submitted it the day of results in OUR time zone.

Hey guys, I was one of the lucky ones who was certified last week. To bring it into perspective: I submitted in the morning (if I remember correctly it was 8.30~ central European time). If you submitted a couple of hours later, say, 9 am US time, there must have been quite a lot Asians and Europeans that were faster. Hope this information is helpful and that you receive your certification in the near future.

Thanks for the update - I recall submitting my experience on 3rd Jan 5:30am CET but still no news.

I submitted my experience on Jan 3rd at 12:40 AM EST (minutes after the results became available on site at midnight). So it does not look like FIFO basis. Did you provide the contact info of your supervisor? Wondering if they could be holding some applications for spot checking or for more information. Thanks.

No, I didnt provide phone numbers or e-mail addresses, just their names. Maybe the processing of submission also depends on the work experience itself - I was working as a risk manager in a bank for more than 3 years which might be a no-brainer in terms of fulfilling the requirements.

Maybe they act in tranches whereas 1st tranche is a submission ticket with 100 % clear situation. Next tranche is partially clear or incompletely filled with some doubts and issues to additionally check and so on toward the most incomplete tickets which would be solved last.

i don't think so. if they are going to go through every experience to determine valid or invalid, they might as well pass them right then and there instead of going back later. plus I worked in risk management for 5 years and i submitted the day of results in eastern standard time. they are definitely going with FIFO method since Asia and Europe got their results first.

Still waiting to hear back on mine. I also emailed them on Wednesday, which is past their two working days turnaround, if they know why there is a delay in approvals

Does GARP send approvals only one day per week? E.g. Monday 3:00 PM till 5:00 PM? I'm asking because it seems it would never happen.
