You passed on three threes?!
I didn't know that was possible!
I thought you needed 1s & 2s for more than half the scores

Congrats anyway :)

Yeah I'm sure I'm at the bottom of the list of passers. With the pass rate where it is some people are going to have to pass it with 3's, by definition. I wasn't overly optimistic since I barely studied (like I said all I did was BT videos). I got married November 3rd, plus a honeymoon after, and work was extremely busy prior to that. But then again, I have a graduate degree in Finance as well as being a CFA Charterholder, so my background was decent. Even though many items are unrelated, education (and these programs are education) really builds on each other.

According to our contact at GARP, you should no longer be seeing May 2012. Everything should be updated.

Thanks,
Suzanne

Passed P2 with 1,2,2,1,2. Not very comforting but thats way better than my P1 score of 2,2,3,3. Btw GARP has changed "May 2012" to "November 2012" with the same result, so delayed new year celebrations can start now :)

And to expand on this, this is why I don't think anyone should ever defer. The goal isn't to get 100%, it is to pass. And given the pass rates and the probable minimum passing score, it is well within any test takers best interest to take the test. If you 'know' 30% of the test cold, and you can sufficiently narrow down the other questions, combine it with some luck, and the result is you have a fighting chance to pass the test. And if you don't, the most valuable learning experience is always in taking the test.

And also, if you did the standard analysis of assuming I scored inbetween each quartile, you would see I would finish in the 47.5% of the test takers. Not that good, but still with some breathing room with the low 60's, high 50's pass rates.

After hours of anxiety finally the results were released. What a great start for the year, FRM Part I passed with 2-1-1-1 scores and today, after working for 12 years in an University, i submmited my resignation letter. Going to a work related to TI and credit risk management, slowly but firmly moving to accomplish my dreams: Become part of the finance/investment orbit !
