Hi All
Am new to the BT forum, i would like to sit for November 2011FRM L1.
I was wondering if you have sample study notes to see if ill be able to follow, also if i buy the material today will i be able to follow your Movie tutorial and webminar for November 2011?
Any advise you can give me to pass L1 will be highly appreciated taking into consideration that its been along time that i studied and i forgot almost everything.

Hi Nadim,

Study notes are located at how-to > Notes: http://www.bionicturtle.com/how-to/notes/category/all/
... if you click the most recent (eg), you can download a sample

Similarly, video tutorials are located at how-to > videos: http://www.bionicturtle.com/how-to/videos/category/all/
.... each has a sample of first 5-10 min

Calendar is here @ http://www.bionicturtle.com/news-and-announcements/2011-frm-calendar/

And we are almost about to deploy the revised study planner, available for paid members

Thanks, David

Hi Nadim,

sure thing, here is the FAQ (with 2 links) on your question: http://www.bionicturtle.com/faqs/category/frm-product/#is_it_sufficient_to_just_take_the_course_from_bionic_turtle

My answer has evolved over the years: it depends on your readiness, which is largely a function of your quantitative aptitude. If you have some experience and comfort, we have found BT materials alone are sufficient.

If you are not comfortable (or very rusty), I still prefer you complement us with the assigned (source) readings. Because, especially if the quant is unfamiliar, you probably need redundant exposure.

... but our practice question bank has grown to quite a size, much can be accomplished merely by doing the practice questions

Thanks, David

Sorry David i know am asking too much questions,
when i buy the material i ll be able to go to the tutorial videos and webminars even if i want to sit for the November exam or is it only restricted to May exam

thanks a lot

Hi Nadim,

It is only your 3rd question, it is not too many, you can ask many more before you are even a contender for too many (i had a customer last year ask 300+ questions, now that's a lot of questions! ... it's true she was not profitable for us, but i learned a lot!)

Your purchase enables membership for one full year, so that always transomes two exam dates; e.g., Feb 2011 purchase enables access thru Feb 2012 and therefore covers May & November (as you may know: GARP's AIMs are updated annually, so there is no difference in the curriculum/AIM between May and November of any year. Preparation for May is the same as for November. Then in January, GARP updates....)

Thanks,
David
