New FRM exam policies

Just received e-mail from GARP on the revamped exam policies.

Woohooo! Not sure if this is anything to be happy about, but at least we don't have to bring pencils and erasers!

But for some reason, we're not allowed to wear watches for the exam anymore. This is probably a downside if the exam hall is big and if there are not enough clocks around.

This got me really curious: no cufflinks allowed. Anyone got any idea why ?

Maybe the cuff links would mark the answer sheet so it could not be scanned. I think the answer sheets are carbon copy like.

Hi
Yes cufflinks can make marks and tears on answer sheet. Not allowing watches? May be something not too comfortable for candidates.
Thanks

On a test like this time is important. With smart watches coming on the market it can give a candidate an unfair advantage. If the test site is in a classroom some have clocks in the back of the room only visible to the instructor. Based on the 2015 GARP Exam Policies the proctors will do an announcement when 3 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes and 5 minutes are remaining. This should help keep track of time.

The latest mail says that GARP will provide pencils and erasers, no mention of sharpners ...
Yes they have mentioned" GARP-supplied pencil (2) for use on the exam" they shall provide pencils but not sure about sharpners. Its better you carry sharpner with you and other items.
Thanks
