Course Mock Exam Glitches

Hello BT. I was taking your mock exam 1 and I clicked on the link to look at the Z score so I could do a BSM. But, when I clicked on the link it took me out of the test to where you have it hosted on a different URL. When I tried to get back into the exam I was taking, it reset my test so now I have no feedback on the 70+ questions that I had completed and lost that valuable time and metrics. PLEASE FIX THIS.

To all people using BT's mock exams, you should know that there is this glitch. Please do not click on any link that is posted in the exam as it will take you out of the test and you will not get that back because it DOES NOT SAVE your answers.

BT, please, fix this. There's seven days before the November exam and with all that's happening in the world and us taking this exam in the middle of a pandemic these study hours are really really valuable. Thanks.

Hello @tylerswob

I am very sorry that you experienced this. This is not a glitch, and unfortunately, it is out of our control. We previously contacted LearnDash to let them know that this was happening. They've said that this is part of their platform. We've recommended that they do something to make sure that users of the quiz feature can click outside of the quiz without losing their progress. The best that I can do right now is to make a note in the description that members should not click outside of the quiz. If you need to get to a different page while in the quiz, I recommend opening a new tab or browser. Again, I am very sorry, but this is the only way for us to provide quizzes to our members, and I know it is extremely frustrating to lose that progress.

Thanks @Nicole Seaman so the way to handle this is to right-click on the link and open in a new window? That's how I always handle in-app links anyways ...
@David Harper CFA FRM Yes, that is how I always open any links on any webpage that I visit because it is easier just to open the link in a new tab. I've added a BOLD RED note on every quiz and interactive exam in our study planner to warn members not to click directly on the links.
