How do I use Bionic Turtle

Hi, David. I have just paid to enroll in Bionic Turtle FRM Level I prep program. I am quite new to the site and have no idea how to use it effectively. Could you please quickly walk me through?
Thanks!

Hi Sabrina,

Thank you for your purchase with bionicturtle.com!

I would recommend that you utilize the study planner which is only available for paid members. You can find the study planner here: http://www.bionicturtle.com/my-account/study-planner/

I'd recommend that you use the topic filter which will quickly filter by the order of the contents (T1 through T9). I'd also select the essential filter which will allow you to see only the essential content that should be studied. The recommended content will contact the xls spreadsheets as well as the previous years content. The study planner is explained more in-depth here: http://www.bionicturtle.com/news-and-announcements/the-new-frm-study-planner/

As a paid member you will have access to all of the premium content (Level 1). You will be able to download, view and print (optional) at your convenience.

I hope that helped.

Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
Suzanne

Hi,

Where are the videos and study notes?? I'm a paid member and I just paid $599! but I can't access the course content. Is there a separate website for paid members?

Hello

I just checked your account and your settings are all correct. You should be able to access all of your paid materials in the Study Planner by clicking on the Topic and Reading. There is a download button once you click on the individual materials. Please let me know if you are still having trouble.

Thank you,

Nicole

Hi there,

I am a paid member and this is the first time I'm trying to access the study planner but I don't seem to have access to anything, only a few samples on some topics here and there, which is the same content I had access to before becoming a paid member.

Please advise on how to proceed to unlock the content.

Thanks!

Sorry for piling on, but I have the same nature of question. I've been using the Study Planner to pick various videos to watch (all good so far!). However, I don't understand the "Question Set" and Study Notes" listed in the Study Planner. They appear to show the exact same thing -- i.e. a very broad outline of concepts covered in that section. I see no questions whatsoever in the "Question Set" section for each topic.

Please direct me where to go for the Question Sets for each topic. I want to test my understanding after viewing the videos.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @nizarel

I just checked your account, and everything is set up correctly. You have access to all of the Part 1 Basic materials in the study planner. Please make sure that you are logged, and that your username is showing in the upper right corner when you are trying to access the website. Also, keep in mind that you will only have access to the Part 1 Basic materials, so if you click on any materials outside of your purchased package, you will only see samples. Please email me at [email protected] if you continue to have issues with your account.

Thank you,

Nicole

@catacony I think maybe you aren't noticing the "Download PDF" button at the bottom of the Question Set page? (see below) We have so many questions it isn't even funny

Hello @catacony,

As David posted above, there are practice questions and study notes associated with each reading in the study planner. It sounds like you are able to access those, but maybe you are not clicking on the download button as David suggested? When you download the question set, you will find many, many practice questions associated with that specific reading. If you are having trouble accessing the materials, please email me at [email protected], but I don't see any issues with your account, as it is showing that you have access to all of the Part 1 Professional materials.

Thank you,

Nicole

Thank you. I now see how to access them and there appear to be a ALOT!

Is it even necessary to order the GARP material? I was thinking of doing that, but it seems I already have more to read than there is time for in the next 11-12 weeks.

For reference, I passed all three CFA levels on the first try only using the Schweser books. I thought about purchasing the official readings, but I had more than enough with Schweser.

Do you think this is a similar situation?

@catacony

Thank you for confirming that you are able to access the materials. Regarding your question about purchasing additional materials, this questions is asked very often, which prompted us to create a FAQ page to answer it. Here is the answer we have provided on that page:

"Because each individual person has a different education and background, it is difficult for us to suggest whether or not you will need other materials in addition to the Bionic Turtle materials. Many of our subscribers purchase the GARP core books to complement their studies, while some feel that Bionic Turtle’s materials are enough to learn the FRM concepts.

Our forum is very useful for these types of inquiries. There is a great deal of helpful feedback on the forum from members who have taken the exams already. Here are some examples of threads from our forum that may help you:
I hope the links above will be useful. Many of our members have discussed their study plans, along with the materials that they purchased in order to pass the exam.

Thank you,

Nicole
