I will be obliged if you can answer my querry.

I am a Chartered Accountant and working in Accounts field as Accounts
Manager and pursuing FRM 2009. FRM certificaion is given only after 2
years of work exp and i dont have any exp in such field......will it
be good to go for FRM?

I tried my luck in Analysis jobs but never got any response due to
lack of exp in that field.

Will it be beneficial to go for FRM without exp?

If you take a look the GARP website, they have a list of industries and titles that qualify a candidate for FRM certification. Here's a link:

Hi David,

I will most probably be giving FRM this year. But i am not sure whether i will be in US or India during November
Wanted to know if change of test center can happen between countries

GARP website only mentions that test center change can happen but does mention anything specific to that

Hi Suraj,

My understanding (per http://www.garp.com/frmexam/faq.aspx) is that you can change countries (as that is "merely" a test site change) provided you do so before October 30, 2009 (or Oct 15th to avoid a charge); i.e., I see no reason that US/India is different than any other site change.
I pinged GARP to confirm and will revise if untrue, but baring that, please assume it's true...Thanks, David

Kristina @ GARP was nice enough to confirm that my statement above is TRUE for you. She wrote me back:

"Exam sites can be changed up until Oct 30th, (Oct 15th without a fee) just as you have indicated. We have more than 80 sites around the world, including six sites in India. Please have them check out our website at for the complete list of sites.
