Thanks for your interest. I realized that I cannot really do an Early Bird discount because we had several candidates already pre-purchase the 2009 at the full ($399) price. If I do a reduced price, now, I will either (i) be unfair to them or (ii) have to go back and refund them $100.
However, I have added the following spec to the shopping cart: I will add a $299 option. The $299 option will be available for:
1. Renewals
2. Those who want to supplement BT with a competitor product; e.g., if you are buying Schweser Notes or a competitive product, I have always tried to give this "competitive discount"
3. Special circumstances; i.e., for those who are under budget pressure and simply are having a hard time affording the full price. Here you can just write us a note and we will try to comply. The BT is mission is, in fact, affordable learning so we will treat individual requests with care.
This option will be available as soon as my developer can modify the shopping cart, etc.
Please note, just like every other year, we will continue to publish plenty of free resources for FRM candidates. I am committed to a free tier, in addition to the premium tier, because I know that certification is an expensive process.
I am taking FRM & PRM both this year and I am just keeping an eye on costs. I purchased Kesdee's ePRM coach and I don't know if you consider that "supplementing with competitor's product".
BTW, I am having trouble posting replies and sending emails using "Contact Us" link. In the first case it looks like my post is accepted but it doesn't show up in the forum. In the second case there is no feedback after pressing submit button when using contact us link. So, it is not clear whether the request got submitted or not and whether clicking on sumit multiple times is sending you the same note multiple times.
Yes, I will consider proof a competitive FRM/PRM purchase as valid. Just please note, per the previous, I don't technically have the option yet available

I have several specs for my developer (who resumes next week; e.g., usabilty improvements to the paid member page [organization of XLS], addition of the $299 option). He should only require a few days. Therefore, i expect within two weeks from today. Thanks for your patience!

I see that the buy option changed to include discounts but, I am not able to use the link. When I click on "see here for details" nothing happens. I guess work is still under progress. When it is complete could you post a reply here?
