Hi, I am doing the exercises corresponding to ELTON, MODERN PORTFOLIO THEORY, CHAPTER 13. From time to time, I try to check the link to the forum shown after the answers. None seems to work. Thanks.

I am currently testing each link in the Practice Question set document (I assume you refer to the PQ at https://learn.bionicturtle.com/topic/question-set-elton-gruber-chapter-13-a-5/ not the notes since you said exercises @Jorge.Beca ?) and they are working fine for me; e.g., starting with the first link that goes to https://forum.bionicturtle.com/threads/p1-t1-57-portfolio-return-and-volatility-elton.5213/ , then https://forum.bionicturtle.com/threads/p1-t1-58-portfolio-possibilities-curve-elton.5228/

I looked up of my posts through the search function yesterday and none of them worked. It seemed like that they have been removed from the forum. Perhaps this was just a temporary issue...

@Jorge.Beca

I also tested the links in the Elton PQ and had no issues with them. They all directed me to the corresponding forum thread.

@emilioalzamora1

As David stated, we are currently implementing Threadloom for our search function. I am working with our maintenance team on this and will let you know when I find out more.

Thanks,

Nicole

Thank you. David, I am referring exactly to the links you are mentioning (Question Set: Elton&Gruber, Chapter13(A.5) ). For example:
When I download the pdf, I try the first link - Discuss in forum here: http://forum.bionicturtle.com/threads/p1-t1-57-portfolio-return- and-volatility.5213/
I get a message saying: " Oops! We ran into some problems."
Hi again. As I sent you my reply I realised what the problem seems to be. The last part of the link "and-volatility.5213/" (which by the way, it is in another line in the pdf) seems to be disconnected to the previous part "http://forum.bionicturtle.com/threads/p1-t1-57-portfolio-return-".
@Jorge.Beca

I will go through that document to check the links. This should not be happening on every link for you though. Very rarely we find that there are some links that are not complete, but I check them each time I publish a document (I admit a few might get past my final check). In this case, if you copy/paste the entire link, it will bring you to the correct forum thread. Pointing it out to us is very helpful, though, because we don't always catch it.

Thank you,

Nicole

It is apparently not working. When I search for "Jensen" looking for one of my posts

https://www.bionicturtle.com/posts/60956

which is to be found under:

L1.T1.31. Sharpe, Treynor & Jensen's (Amenc)

It says "page not found"
@emilioalzamora1

I've tested the search several times, and I am not having any issues with it. Can you tell me how you are searching? I just did a quick search of "Jensen" posted by "emilioalzamora1" and the links came up with no problem. Clicking on them brought me directly to your posts. See my images below.

Hi @Nicole Seaman, Hi @David Harper CFA FRM,
thanks for trying to help but much to my regret the problem is still there saying "page not found", error 404. Page not found.

1. I go to the search function
2. Enter Jensen
3. posted by "emilioalzamora1"
4. and then randomly choose the L1.T1. Sharpe....Amenc

trying to open it in a new window and in the same window. Page not found. I am using Firefox.

The same holds for the Ang link. Page not found, error 404. The page you are looking for no longer exists.

I tried this one through the search function as well, same issue:

https://forum.bionicturtle.com/threadloom/search?query=What’s Wrong with Multiplying by the Square Root of Time?
user:"emilioalzamora1"&tab=3633

Even if I look for sth. I did not contribute to, the links can NOT be opened.

@emilioalzamora1

I've contacted our forum maintenance team to see if they can help us to replicate this issue. David and myself have both done the same exact search as you, and we have had no issues clicking on the links that the search brings up. Nobody else has contacted us about having an issue either. We are going to try to log in under your account to see if we can replicate the issue. I will be in touch when we've worked on this more.

Thanks,

Nicole

Thank you @Nicole Seaman.

Well, I can't show you more than this. What's odd is that if I click on my account I can't see my payment history (subscription) either.
What's for sure is that the problem has nothing to do with my browser (Firefox), otherwise the access through my mobile would work.

Thanks again!

I just logged into your account (as you the user) and I was able to see your purchase history, etc. We can discuss that outside of this thread in the forum though since it has to do with personal account information. If you want to email a screenshot to me to show me what you are seeing when you click on My Account, it would help so I can see what you mean that you can't see your purchase history. My email is [email protected]. I will continue to look into the forum issue.

Thanks,

Nicole
