hello David

I want to ask if the FRM part 1 formula sheet is enough to cover all the necessary formulas in this part ,so I can rely on it without making my own formula summary?

best regards,
Nabil

Hello @hellohi

The formula sheets that are published have not been completely updated for 2016, so there may be some formulas that are not included yet. As you work through the curriculum for this year, you will want to make sure that you have noted of any formulas that are not in the published formula sheets. If you use the search function here in the forum, you will find that there should be other threads discussing the formulas also.

Thank you,

Nicole

doing our own formula sheet is very difficult and consuming time, so can you refer to the chapters in FRM part 1 which didnot included in formula sheet to update that part?

Nabil

@hellohi - I have noticed your first few posts here. First of all, welcome and congrats on deciding to pursue the FRM.

Secondly, I would like to emphasize to you that preparing for the exam will be challenging. It is certainly not unreasonable for you to be able to prepare your own formula sheet (I think it would be expected that you could do so.) Indeed, if you are unwilling to do so, I don't think you will have success with the exam. You will need to do much, much more than produce a formula sheet.

Nobody can do the preparation for you....you must be willing to put forth the time and effort. BT is here to help, but BT cannot do it for you.

That being said, others might be willing to share their formula sheets, preparation methods, etc., so I would encourage you to ask everyone and continue searching through the forum. However, you can't expect everyone else to do the work for you (including David and Nicole).

All the best.

Brian

thanks Brian

Thanks for your advices, I am doing my formula sheet but when I register with david I saw that he build a huge formula sheet with professionalism and I saw some of the equation included in his formula sheet and not included in mine, and because he is the expert, I thought it will be safe to follow his sheet.

may you help me about the way to mention someone here on this website?

best regards,
Nabil

Just use the search bar. David and Nicole have offered responses to similar questions for years. Regarding the formula sheet, I didn't mean to suggest the David's could be insufficient. On the contrary, i think anything and everything David produces is the best in the industry. That being said, considering how much you will need to do to prepare, a formula sheet is the least of the challenges. Regarding the more active users since I joined BT, I would look for posts from @ShaktiRathore (he is one of most consistent contributors and also, he is a really supportive and patient BT member). There are others as well (for example, @Mkaim, @QuantMan2318, @Dr. Jayanthi Sankaran, @ami44, @Deepak Chitnis, etc.)

Ohhhh man, I was hoping for a "It's me, I'm a child prodigy and I teach quantum something at MIT" type of response. Definitely a cute avatar.
