Hi David,
I just read in your most recent email update that you are taking a look at Bruce Edward's calculus course from the Teaching Company. I just wanted to echo your positive comments on the course (and on the Teaching Company in general. Arthur T. Benjamin's course on Discrete Math is also excellent!). I picked up Professor Edward's course over the holidays during one of the Teaching Company's discount sales and have been quite impressed so far. His explanations and examples are clear, and the lessons are in easily digestible 30 minute segments. As you mentioned in the email, the course is not free. However, if any other readers of the forum are interested in the course I suggest regularly checking the company's website since it frequently offers courses on sale at good discounts. My local library also has a large collection of TC materials available for loan, so that might also be an option for some readers.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work here on Bionic Turtle!
Regards,
A.B.
p.s. For what it's worth, I've also heard very good things about the free on-line courses through Coursera from a friend who has already taken a couple of them.
