Which is domestic ?

Hello,
If a question doesn't state which currency is domestic, is it safe to assume USD is domestic or should we assume the rate on the left of the quote is domestic ?

Yeah in quotation USD/AUD its the USD which is the domestic currency is generally dom. currency/foreign currency. So its the left of the quote which is usually domestic currency.Its not safe to assume USD as domestic currency for every question as domestic currency might change or US mightbe foreign currency in some Qs. please refer to the quote first whether its direct or indirect and than make inference about the domestic currency. Direct qoute is domestic currency per foreign currency is dom. currency/for. currency(left figure is domestic currency) and indirect quote is for.currency/dom. currency is just reverse of the direct Quote(right figure is domestic currency).
