VAR Update from my end

Hi David,

Today I completed the VAR Readings completely though its a small part of Mkt Risk. Tomorrow and day after I would be focussing on solving as many questions possible and shall post doubts as and when I come across.

I have put up two more conceptual queries. Do find some time to check them out for me.

I also wish to know whether it's a good idea for us potential candidates to have a Formula Sheet. The curriculum seems to be flooded with Formulas. Do you already have a Formula Sheet uploaded somewhere or would you be doing it sometime soon? I personally feel that apart from studying and solving questions, it's always good to go through formula sheet - It can help utilize the leisure time.

Do you agree?

P.S. I would be very active on this forum until the exams - it helps me to be on track with rectified concepts and also I derive a lot of motivation from your explanations. So kindly bear with me until the 16th of Nov '2007.

Thank you for checking in. It sounds like you are on track.

Yes, I agree regarding the formula sheet, it is currently being checked for quality - I hope to post by the end of the week. (And also a new Basel cheat sheet of which i am proud and i think will make Basel II easier for new folks)

Thank you for being active on the forums, i will do my best to answer the questions and 'bear with you' - they are good questions (there are no bad questions!...well, except maybe this one, ha ha) that I hope can accrue to benefit of others as well. As I am a new, growing company, i judge success (at the moment) not primarily by volume, but by whether you pass the test. But again, thank you for contributing to the forum...David

That was very encouraging. I completely agree that you are focussing on our passing rate and not the number of enrollments for your material. Shall give my best shot!
