Hi David,

I might of overlooked this, but I cant see many practice questions for the 4 new chapters from Carrel in Operations.

to be honest I dont really get the just of the topic being covered and hope to not see it on the exam.

However, I have a bit of spare time so was wondering if you could point me in the direction of practice questions for this?

Thanks
Joe

i was thinking about it one hour ago :) Maybe something with the cost of liquidity - study note page 38 (central bank rate / interbank rate with the possibility to be a borrower or a lender on the interbank market)...
Whatever, they'll find a way to surprise us on saturday :p

I hope not :) I was thinking it might be something on the Gini coefficient looking at whether there is concentration or not. Who knows...will just have to see.

Hi Joe,

I have not (yet) written questions specific to the four Carrel chapters. We use an internal project manager to order the sequence and queue up the gaps (i.e., we generally have a working plan to fill all gaps), but with one exception: some readings I skip and push back in the buffer, if I find them less amenable to good questions (or just weak generally, to be really frank). I was REALLY looking forward to new liquidity readings, it's a really important topic (!). But I find the Carrel chapters heavy with generic consultant-speak (epitomized by the 20-chevron framework in Chapter 19 that reduces the world to a smartArt).

On a positive note, I do have them buffered, I really will try to write questions for these chapters in the upcoming semester. Good luck Saturday!
