Hi David,

I recently subscribed for the 2012 FRM Level 1 Tier 3 prep material. I am still getting used to the various resources that I can make use of on the website. I have a few questions,

1. How relevant is the articles section and how do I use it in my preparation? The latest page is dated 2008.
2.I am a bit confused on how to use the spreadsheets section for studying. Also, are all the spreadsheets dated 2011 relevant to the 2012 exam?
3. Are the lecture videos dated 2011 irrelevant or are there some which I do need to watch and review?

It would be great if you could answer my questions and clear my confusion :)

Thanks,
Ajit

Hi Ajit,

Thanks for subscribing. As a paid subscriber, you want to only use the Study Planner at http://www.bionicturtle.com/my-account/study-planner
(e.g., it will save you from the old/outdated stuff)
  1. Not relevant; we are currently working with a usability expert to improve some of this and, for example, this section will disappear
  2. The spreadsheets generally accompany the video tutorials. Yes 2011 XLS are still relevant but we will be upgrading all of them to 2012 in upcoming weeks (well ahead of November) including for greater usability (and also utilizing MS online directly rather than zoho, it appears, for even greater convenience)
  3. With respect to VIDEOS and consistent with your study planner view, you should ignore 2011 videos ... the planner reflects this. Videos are all 2012 ... however, 2010 and 2011 practice question documents are RELEVANT.
Thanks!
