Lookup tables on exam

Hi David,

Either in Level-1 or 2, are the candidates provided with lookup tables separately in case they need to answer any of such questions? Or is it that all the necessary information is provided in the question booklet itself?

According to my experience of previous FRM exams all the necessary information is provided in the question booklet itself. There are no separate look up tables provided. tables might be in the Question booklet itself or the necessary table information is provided in the Question itself.

thanks

I agree with Shakti. Of course, the exam expects you to know the one-sided N(-1.645) = 5.0% and N(-2.33) = 1.0%, as these always apply to delta-normal VaR and will certainly appear on the exam. I think it's good to know their two-sided "cousins:" two-sided 5% confidence --> 1.96 and two-sided 1% confidence --> 2.58, because unlike VaR, significance tests are often two-sided.
But GARP will surely provide any other lookup values/tables, thanks
