Key Rate Shift Techniques Chapter 13 Testability?

Hello all - sorry to be asking that question so late. I was wondering about Chapter 13 Testability. To be honest this is my biggest weakness...
Especially this learning objective:

From what I see , it has a low testability at least from the gist of the forum?

Hi @RajivBoolell I agree it has low testability, based on forum feedback. Also, it's a very hard LO to query; it's one of those LOs that I wish they would modify: the use of "calculate" makes a great learning demand on the candidate, yet to my knowledge, this LO has never been directly tested (I could be wrong of course). It's what I like to call a "time waster for candidates." I assume you saw GARP's practice question #90 in their 2020 practice paper, see below. Notice this is not a "compute" question; it's referencing LO = "Describe the key rate exposure technique in multi-factor hedging applications; summarize its advantages and disadvantages." Such a question is far more likely. I hope that's helpful!

Thank you very much David. Yes I have seen the practice questions. I just had fears from the feedback of 2020 and the fact that GARP has had to administer it's exam more than 2 times might play into the fact that they will be "digging" deeper into the concepts. It seems to have been the case with the October and November exams.

In any case,it is my biggest weakness and I don't think I will be able to fill the gap 3 days before the exam if they ask a "calculate" question.

Many thanks
Rajiv
