GARP Membership Renewal

Hi everybody,

I just received an e-mail that my GARP membership is about to expire. I passed FRM 1 in May and am not decided yet wether to take FRM 2 in November 2015 or May 2016.

My question: Will I face any disadvantages apart from not getting GARP memeber benefits if I don't renew my membership until I do FRM Part 2. Will my FRM 1 Exam stay valid?

If I don't have to, I don't want to pay the member fee until I get my full certification. Do I have to?

Hi @BongoBolognese ,

you do not have to renew your membership, you won't get certain access to individual papers etc. but your exam results for part I will stay valid. As far as I know.
You have 4 years to complete the second part, otherwise you will have to retake the first part.
