Exam Feedback FRM Part 2 (November 2014) Exam Feedback

Passed too! 2-1-1-1-1

Still think that some questions were not clearly defined and tricky due to that rather than the content itself. Congrats for all who passed and all the best for those trying in May, the got a lot put in advance :)

Hi David,

Thanks a million for all your help over the last 9 months. I don't think that I would have ever surpassed the part 1 & 2 FRM challenges without your study material and continuous support.

Thank you again.

Roshan

Roshan! I had no doubt that you would pass! Congrats! I am sitting for part 2 in may.

I passed with the following quantile : 4-1-1-4-4
Don t understand the 4th quantile of the market part, it was the part that I knew the best.
The 1 in the Credit part is also surprising. I guess I collect points because I prepared very carefully the first chapters of the Gregory book.
The 4 in the Risk Management part, even not expected, don't surprise me. The BT material was not enough on my opinion.

Anyway, thank you BT for you help. I started with FRM 2,5 years ago. I failed 2 times the Part 1, trying to pass it without support...
With bionic turtle, I could pass the PART I in May 2014, and the Part II now.

I am really happy.
This is really surprising given the 4-1-1-4-4 but congrats nonetheless!

Yes, it s surprising at first glance. But the part 5 (Current issues) represented just 2 or 3 questions in the last session, so that you can ignore it. At the end with two first quantile and 2 last quantile, my final rank should be in the middle -> and it is consistent with the historical passing rate (around 55% for the FRM Part II)

Surprising or not, I am psyched for you! It also gives me some level of insight into the Part 2 weighting scheme, as you mentioned.
Congrats!

I passed with 3-3-3-3-1, thank you once again David, Nicole and BT guys here!!!! I am still a bit speechless, after the exam I thought I would have to come back again in May. Wish everybody who plans to take the exam in May a lot of success, you can do it!! :)

Passed both parts at my first attempt. Part 1 -> 2 2 1 1 & part 2 -> 2 1 2 1 1. I read the topics mostly from the assigned main books. For part 2 I was running out of time, so used schweser notes for some topics. Along with memorising loads of formulae, I tried to understand the concepts as deep as possible which helped a lot I guess. Started preparation from April; daily around 2 hours.

Passed! Thank you David & BT.
MRM: 2
CRM: 2
ORM: 2
Investment: 1
Current Issues: 2

To all of those working full time out there, what will you focus on now? (it's interesting how much "freer", even if busy with work/family life, one feels after this tough experience. I'm focusing on R programming as my new side hobby)

I passed also - 22211.
I was a bit more confident as in level 1 - I also wrote it better as 1.
I was conficent for 60 questions - for 20 I was not confident if I am correct.

I am also curious what will all of you do after you passed level II??

I will first rest :) - last 2 years there were not much evenings to enjoy - last two levels of CFA and both FRM. Now in December I recognised how do you feel if you don't have to do anything after kids go to sleep. I did watched a film in the evening after a long time...
I am not sure what I will do further, but I need a break from learning theory. If evrything goes by plans I will make a few months break in mine cariere and put few hundred hours in learning golf. But we never now how the life turns around... :)

Cheers to evrybody!
If you passed great - if you didn't - it is a life school - keep biting! For me CFA L1 was the hardest (although the exam is probably the easiest) as I had to start to be disciplined and to get to know mine stile of learning. This was still a problem with CFA L2, but last 3 exams (CFA L3 and both FRM) were just rutine - you don't look left and right you just do it - 6 days a week - and on somme weekends if possible you put some more hours...

And of course - thanks also to BT - I think I came to exam much more confident in L2 when I used BT.

I am planning to learn python (and then probably later R) to master the data. I know a little bit of VBA for Access but when I saw what can you do with few lines of python, I made up my New Year resolution quick;y.
Data science is the next logical step for risk managers

Dear David,
Please I would like to know how soon the Bionic Turtle Study Notes are going to be updated to reflect the changes in the FRM Part II for 2015.
With warm regards.

@[email protected],

As in previous years, we will begin to update materials this month (January) and we will continue to update materials throughout the exam period (until May). When new materials are published, you will see a "New" symbol next to it and we also reflect the date in the title. Thank you for your patience during this very busy time.

Nicole
