I am considering a career change. I currently work in Insurance (IT side) but am interested in moving over to Finance. I am familiar with Financial concepts (took quite a few courses in college).
After 8 years in IT, I am no longer thrilled by what it has to offer and am thinking that perhaps it's time to move on.
With no finance experience, my chances of getting even an entry job in the field might be limited. I am thinking about going for a certification like CFA, FRM or PRM. I am more interested in the latter because I eventually want to go in Risk Management.
Any advice/suggestions?
