BT vs Schweser content

I heard many good things about BT, as people say it is better than Schweser.

I have 2 friends in my workplace taking FRM, one of them using schweser and the other using BT. Schweser Book 1 consists of 400+ pages while BT book 1 consists of 70+ pages. I am skeptical on whether BT can deliver the same amount of content than Schweser as the pages difference is really scary. Especially when many people say that BT is much more detailed than Schweser.

Hi maisatomai,

Our notes do not include the end of chapter practice questions embedded because: our large practice question library is constantly update with fresh questions. (I'm highly confident our questions database is the largest, by far; but more importantly, our practice questions are updated to the newest exam). With respect to the page count of the only the source material of the notes (i.e., sans questions), I have never used page count as a metric. If page count is the goal, then you can achieve a larger page count plus less work (!) by simply copying more of the source material. The downside of this approach is that the notes can be less summary and more duplication. Finally, the notes are merely a complement to the other material.

I don't support the following comparison, but if you compared (notes + practice questions), I am 99% certain we lead all competitors only because I spend almost every working day adding fresh practice questions based on the latest material (contrast with re-packaging prior questions).

Frankly, we spend just as much or more time on the practice question sets, videos (which also create slides) and forum support. With respect to page count, our first drafts of the books this year will be longer (more pages) than last year, but my goal is always to edit them DOWN in pages, not maintain more pages (i.e., my goal is to try and save customers' time. FWIW, the metrics I care about are: pass rate and satisfaction).

I hope that explains a bit, thanks for your interest! David
