Basel III: The Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Liquidity Risk Monitoring Tools

Hi BT Team,

Can you please clarify if there're any materials for the "Basel III: The Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Liquidity Risk Monitoring Tools" reading, which has been assigned for 2013 and 2014? For some reason, it's omitted from the Study Planner, although its neighbour readings are there (R53.P2.T7.BaselIII_v3 and R55.P2.T7.Revisions_v3).

Thanks,

@EK,

After looking through the 2014 curriculum, I can confirm that there will be materials for "Basel III: The Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Liquidity Risk Monitoring Tools" in the updated materials that we will be publishing for 2014. These materials were not included in the 2013 curriculum and that is the reason it is not in the current study planner on our website. We are currently working on updating the 2014 materials so we can begin posting them immediately after the New Year. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks!

Hi Nicole,
Thanks a lot for the prompt response, however, I wonder if it's possible to make it a bit more specific in regards to the timelines - "after the New Year" doesn't give me any confidence that I'll get the questions and David's notes, say, by the end of March..

@EK,

Unfortunately, at this time, we don't have a more specific date regarding when certain materials will be published. We will begin to publish the new 2014 materials at the beginning of January and we will also provide the publishing calendar (we will publish from January to the end of April). Right now we are working on preparing a timeline, which will better help us to estimate when certain materials will be published.

Hi @Nicole Manley, just wanna check, with the new release of Hull Chapters 12 & 13, I do see some overlapped to the Basel readings. Is reading the Hull chapters sufficient for the exam? just wondering.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi @tosuhn As I am currently writing PQs for the Hull Chapters (eg., yesterday's daily PQ @ https://forum.bionicturtle.com/thre...-under-basels-1996-amendment-hull.8464/unread) I think you have a good question. My opinion is: no, the Hull Chapters are a convenient and efficient summary, but I don't think they are enough, especially when you consider the several additional Learning Outcomes (AIMS) that are associated with the specific Regulatory Reference Readings (Basel in Operational Risk, listed just after Hull's Chapters 12 and 13). Thanks,
