Just back from the part 1 exam here in Europe. It was fair, and everything had been well covered by BT. Jo_'s advice of getting ahead of the average questions per half hour is very good because you lose concentration in the last hour. Good luck to those still to sit.
Hi Jo_ , thanks very much for the post and the good advice.
I had a bad day yesterday getting bad results in the 2014 practice exam, and decided I just wasn't ready yet.
Seeing your scores and eventual result has given me hope that I might squeak through, and I'll be going into that exam...
From reading past comments it seems that candidates with practice scores around 70% did ok. Can anyone comment? At what level should we start to gain some confidence?
From the intro to the practice exam:
"These Practice Exams are based on a sample of questions from the 2011 through 2014 FRM Exams and are suggestive of the questions that will be in the 2015 FRM Examination."
There is always discussion about the difficulty compared to the actual, but they...
Hi,

Does anyone know if it is necessary to memorize them?

Having purchased the Garp 2014 readings (and almost finished them) I am loath to fork out another large amount for the 2015 edition to get the 14 or so new ones.
Does anyone know if just the new readings are available somewhere? I tried the Garp digital library but had no luck.
Yes, but you didn't mention that you have also done videos with the calculator emulator :) ... I found this YTM example on YouTube:
Have you done other examples? Knowing the calculator must almost be as important as knowing the theory when you only have 2.4 minutes to answer each question.
It is a sunny Saturday morning and learning BSM option pricing is making me give up the will to live, so I started doing some return calculations, and stumbled upon a great tutorial for configuring and using the II plus. Hope it helps someone.
Now, back to my procrastination...
Thanks for the reply. Yes I was referring to the Practice Exams - I misunderstood LMFRM (it does not bode well for the exam if I don't read the question!).
