Yes I realized GARP has been generous previously with early releases. Heck, I've even been checking my email hoping for an early release. My point is some people are bashing GARP when they aren't even late yet.
And I understand the INTL angle, but come on, you have to know what time zone GARP...
Relax people. The results are expected today, they'll come today. What do you people expect? Every other program (CFA, etc) sends their results the day they say they'll send them. Usually early lunch Eastern time. GARP will be similar.
What do you people want us to ask when we call the US...
People relax...
It's 730 Est time (NY). They will be out by the end of the day. The business day hasn't even started yet. My guess is they'll be out around lunch (3-6) hours, but no need to panic unless they aren't out in 10 hours. And even then, why panic? It's a freaking test score.
BT questions are the most comprehensive, but unfortunately aren't in any sort of database like the Schweser QBank. That QBank, even if some questions were too easy, was BY FAR, my best tool of learning for the CFA exams. David's questions are better but not in a user friendly enough way to do...
At what point in the registration process did everyone get those screens? Like as soon as you hit register for L2, after you "pay", after you put in personal data, etc?
If you were just a finance grad, with no advanced training, and just had to sit for CFA 1/2/3 or FRM 1/2 in isolation you'd almost definitely find the FRM exams tougher (although L2 CFA will give them a run for its money). The key thing is they aren't in a vacuum as you do them in order and...
I'd like to know the composition of the test taking demographic and who passed and who didn't. Basically age, education, other certifications (CFA, etc). I found that many people taking the FRM have already completed the CFA program, and the pass rate amongst that group should be really high...
I've never heard of a firm asking to see your quartiles or marks for an exam such as the CFA trifecta or the FRM. Never. In fact your CFA breakdown isn't even available to you after a year or so after your exam (I believe that's the case). Sure I guess you can keep a hard copy but that's...
I don't think it matters at all other than 'bragging' on the day scores are out. In a couple weeks literally nobody will care. And honestly your quartiles are not something you want to put on your resume anyways.
Questions are key for sure (here and for the CFA exams). They are by far the #1 most important thing. I'd say you should spend 75%+ of your time working out problems.
Oh and I bought the spreadsheets, but didn't really use them that much in terms of study material enough to justify the cost. They are helpful if you want to essentially see the steps in a calculation. Even with all my years I still can abrely understand greeks in a mathematical formula, but...
I'm a CFA Charterholder, and there is a good amount of overlap. If you feel you've done well on the CFA examinations then you can get by without using the FRM core readings. I used David's notes as a way of dipping my toe into the water so to speak, then I watched all the videos, and then I...
Got the email.
Passed L1, with a 2,1,1,2 using David's videos the final couple weeks with some of the questions sprinkled in. Onto L2...
Question thought: Do we get to find out how many people sat for each exam and what they overall pass rate is? I'm sure they'll release it at some point...
