From a pack of well shuffled cards, one card is drawn and kept aside. Then second card is drawn and then kept aside. After that first card (which was drawn first time) is kept back in the pack of cards, and then the third card is drawn. What is the probability that two cards are face cards?
Choose one answer.
a. 14/221
b. 11/221
c. 9/221
d. None of these
The correct answer is 11/221.

Could you explain the answers with workings please.

Hello @adamlevine

When you post a question in the forum, there is no need to post numerous comments asking for help. One post is sufficient, and will be seen by us and all other members. Right now, the forum is extremely busy, and we are trying our best to keep up with questions that are being posted. You have also posted that this is a CFA question (although I can't be sure if it is an FRM or CFA question because there was no source listed. You tagged as CFA and posted in the other careers section). We are not able to focus on CFA questions, as we need to make sure we are helping our FRM customers for the exam next weekend, but another member may be able to help you.

Thank you,

Nicole
