Online exam: what not to do!

I would really love to know if there are any tutorials available for online exam format and any special considerations that we need to follow during the exams (e.g data lost if PC mistakenly switched off or power fluctuation or even outage).

Hi @sulemanms202 ,

I don't think you can ever replicate the exact situation of the FRM, but taking the exams by BT and timing yourself (4hrs) seems to be good enough of a exam simulation. That worked for me at least.

Thanks for the response lushukai. But problem all the practice i have done is written from printed materials and have no clue about online interface, its really putting extra pressure now besides long practice days that i go through these days that even after such tough days on exam day, exam format will not be the one that i am getting used too

@sulemanms202 ,

At home, I have two screens, one from my laptop and another desktop. I open the BT question set on one screen and Microsoft Word on another to write my answers. Actually, for the BT exams, it is online simulation, which should proxy the real exam situation. Do not download it into printed material but use the online format instead.

There is some extra pressure, to tell the truth it was a bit frustrating for me.. You have to answer the questions one by one, you cannot jump among them. If one of them is too difficult, you cannot skip it, and return later. You have to answer it, and go to the next one. In my exam lots of the questions at the beginning were complicated, I burned the time, and did not know, if I can finish it. Fortunately the next ones were easier, and I could...

Dear mszvitacs:

I hope it goes well for you in the end down the line. I have exam tomorrow and i did receive email from GARP mentionaing screen shot of the actual interface which i am going through now, its been very challenging few months and i havent anything besides studying in last 5 months and havent left my house for 7 straight days, i just wake up eat come at study then take break then go again with sleep break in the middle.

and it is so challenging all the functions, i counted them around 150 plus, so difficult to learn, eventhough i have practiced all the mcqs in mcq booklet and chapter booklet
