I am working as a programmer in market data for a hedge fund. Typically my work involves programming, but also involves looking at data from several sources (realtime and historical financial data) and make good use of it for research dept.
I am interested in pursuing my FRM, because I feel myself lacking in the business domain knowledge. I expect that doing a course like this would clear a lot of confusions and firm my concepts.
However, having a degree in programming and experience, I definitely know that FRM will not land me into any business domain job.
My question for you is, given this background and situation do you think, it will be a worth taking the exam?
Any comments from you will be appreciated.
