FAQ After Exam FRM certification assigns other exams levels

Dear all,
I’m wondering if there exist any partnership between GARP and other Certification Institutions (CFA/CAIA/etc...) that would automatically assign certain exam levels to FRM holders.
Many thanks in advance
Giuseppe

As far as I can tell, there are no automatic exemptions for being a certified FRM like there are as a CFA Charterholder. The latter has partnerships with several dozen universities for GMAT/GRE/coursework exemptions, certain FINRA licensing exams and, at least historically, one exam for CAIA and CFP. (I think there are some timing constraints with a couple of these.). Perhaps the FRM can qualify for something bespoke at a university, maybe a GMAT or GRE exemption here or there. I'm not sure.

Probably just has to do with the fact that GARP is (relatively) much newer than the CFA Society. The CFA Society has been around since the early 60's in one form or another and was conceived in the 40's.

Best of luck in your journey.
