I wanted to share this pointer I received from GARP last week, as a morale booster for everyone hard at work and also as a motivation for aspiring candidates. In short, this study commissioned by GARP concludes that the FRM certification is comparable to a Master's degree in major education systems around the world. This is quite helpful and rewarding to see the results of some kind of formal comparison. Note however, as the report says, that comparability does not imply equivalence in every aspect.
This may position the FRM as an affordable alternative to a Master's degree or other postgraduate degree (in finance/risk management) worth considering.
