Hello David,
Will really appreciate your suggestions on my query.
I am a computer graduate and MBA from India, working in UAE/Dubai with an overall experience of apprx. 5.5 years and about 3.5 years in banking MIS, business intelligence & Project Managment especially for Credit Risk.
At present I am holding the designation of Project Analyst with IT dept. of a renowned bank here in UAE and being offered a position of Credit Analyst with Credit Risk dept.
After working for Credit Risk in my initial years I have always aspired to be in that area but when being actually offered, I am confused.
What I really want to know from you is, say if I move with the offer and eventually get certified in risk management (may be APRM &/or CRA) do I stand a chance to be on par with others holding same kind of position?
And do a deserve a chance of change or growth after 2-3 years of expericne? Or my 5.5 years experience in IT will become a hindrance in growth aspects.
Will really appreicate suggestions & first hand experiences from all of you.
