Advice in taking FRM certificate

I have MSc in Computer Science and I have 4 years experience as Operations Coordinator in a financial brokerage firm, I am planning to take FRM certificate and expand my career in the filed of Risk Management, my question , is this a good choice for me to do FRM? I really want your advice in this issue.
