Cleared the exam as well. Results, Q1-Q1-Q1-Q2. Very happy with the result and many thanks to BT for the program. Congrats to everyone who passed the exam.
This question was particularly about EL and both options were available between the answers, thus based on the 45mio and 55mio calculation. It was a straightforward calculation, EL=EA*PD*LR. I just analyzed this question more from an accounting point of view as an impairment. The loan increases...
I had the same answer, just because of the fact that the other choices made no sense. The 45% and 105% was not possible imo and I forget the 4th option.
Does someone knows what the answers are on these two questions? After the exam I was doubting and I was pretty sure during the exam?
EL calculation with a given EA and an updated EA amount because increase in value of the loan. 45mln and 55 mln, I took 55 mln in my calculation which I think it...
True, it was a straightforward calculation but sorry I don’t remember the full question. (1-(1-SMM)^12 was sufficient i.m.o. times the outstanding. Answer was one of the choices.
I choose that answer as well because it couldn't be bootstrapping imo. It was a small sample and there was no historic data which were used again for new data. The other two answer doesn't make sense. But with this answer I am not sure and i couldn't fully remember the question:confused:
For me it was a normal exam and the difficulty is to compare with the practice exams from GARP. There were more theoretical questions instead of calculation questions which I shouldn’t expect upfront and I didn’t encounter strange questions in the exam, every question was recognizable and could...
Hi Nicole,
Thanks for the swift response :) I have read the threads but still couldn't find the answer. We have still a couple of days to go before the exam.
Thanks.
Hi David, Nicole,
I have question about the delta normal VAR in P1.T4. When I have a yearly expected return [E(r) year - z*(sigma year/ sqrt 250) *$] given in a question how should I translate this for e.g. to a daily expected return. I know it is somewhere in the BT material but I can't find...
