I am actually glad that the post that I created long before is going a long way and helping people to share GARP's responses and time lines etc. I submitted on 24th of June and got certified roughly around three weeks ago. I wish good luck to the guys who are waiting still, it shouldn't take...
FRM part II is more qualitative than FRM I which is compuationally challenging. Since, you have gone through the FRM I already, I think it would be a good idea to revise the materails once again and practice BT questions a lot before you sttempt Part I again. I recommend you doing Part II after...
Personally I think that for a person with MBA in IT and no finance background, its better to do FRM part I alone and keep the part II for the next session.
Thanks @Nicole Manley. I am really to glad to have won this prize and would like to accrue it and redeem it at a later date . I would like to mention that you guys are doing really great. One thing to add is that it's not just a forum for FRM candidates , but also for FRM holders and Certified...
@KS29 , I would like to share my own experience with you . I started FRM after CFA and completed the exam last session . To start with FRM is a tougher examination than CFA given the depth of selected areas in FRM and the math content involved . To be honest with you , I would have felt FRM even...
@Helter , to start with I dint know about David's post until yesterday I found them and posted it . I think before commenting on Asians' written communication , u better improve on your reading , that would be helpful to avoid any confusion . If you read my post from the beginning , GARP is now...

@Helter ... Do u have any comments on the above FB communication by GARP. What u think about their stated policies and actual execution .
I have nothing against GARP as I previously mentioned I am so fond of GARP material , the whole purpose of my thread is to improve their service level so that the program can be further strengthened
@Helter , not having sufficient people on board to handle high volume is a type of operational risk . This institution which teaches risk management must know how to manage their operational risk first . We have fewer FRM holders than CFA holders , the policy of GARP for accepting affiliate...
Some quick thoughts on your numbers - no offense - numbers don't seem to make sense . I understand from a colleague who called GARP that there are 1000 application in total for review and now exactly 1 month since thd results were released . 1000 people submitting in one week is a very...
@Pflik , GARP recommends Certified FRMs to enroll into CPE program , pls note that it's not a must for a certified FRM to enroll in CPE program . If a certified FRM wishes to enroll in the CPE program , he must hold a full membership with GARP and an affiliate status is not sufficient . Hope...
@Pflik , please explain the relaionship between subscription and CPE program. I thought you just can be an affliate member( non fee paying) of GARP and still become a FRM certified manager. Thanks
It seems that people can post CVs till 20th of Sep but will get the e-mail confirmation by 30th Sep (only in 10 days). This clearly means GARP actually fast tracks the process at the end, and clearly disadvantaging the people who submitted the CV on the day of results or shortly afterwards...
@flunda ! if you are in situation of a senior risk manger and your application for a good job gets disqualified just because your certification with GARP is pending, then you probably wouldnt have asked this question - "why would you need it fast anyway". Nevertheless, irrespective of why people...
