Its not possible for the cutoff to be 54-56 as if that is the case then average of top 5 percent must be 80 out of 80.which is very unlikely.i think cutoff will be less than 50.

aaaeeeashish of those who give the exam a normal curve will be formed for each section
top 25 percent of candidated will get quartile 1 next 25 percent will get quartile 2 and so on.....so if a person is in bottom 25% of those who gave the exam he/she will get quartile 4..
