About the market sizes of derivatives

Hi @David Harper CFA FRM , Made a quick summary of the market sizes of the 2 markets, reading from the books. Any links that track the amounts as in the books those are numbers from June 2019. Would be excited to see how much these markets have grown since COVID. Also note that the interest...

    Stationary Time Series

https://www.r-bloggers.com/2018/04/how-do-i-interpret-the-aic/ gives a detailed introduction to AIC and Log-likelihood. SIC is basically going one step further and is the most strict information criterion (penalty is ln(n)k instead of 2k).

Course Errors Found in 2021/2022 Study Materials P1.T2. Quantitative Methods

Deleted (AR(1) was differently written out in the instructional video of ch10 Stationary time series as in the books of GARP and got confused because the intercept was not specified in the video and it was in the books. Unconditional mean was not zero in the GARP books. Found the full denotation...

Hi Krish, try to use the study planner! Yes it is a lot! But do note that BT is compiling a lot of practice questions from previous years. I recommend to read the books; go to the study notes and read parallel (write down most important parts of each chapter) & then make exercises & practice exams.

News / topics in the media

Hi David, Nicole, Would love to hear your take on monthly / yearly news articles published related to the FRM designation or FRM topics in general. Could be an idea to make a new sub thread on the forum for? Eg. Ukraine / Russia, current inflation figures, (stockpicking would be more CFA...

Mark Meldrum (aka, the GOAT) has joined us at CeriFi

Attempted CFA last year just after my second master after a month of holidays. Pride comes before the fall they say! Will not let this happen to FRM. Get those study hours ;). Preparation is key. Who knows, might as well try Mark Meldrum after FRM! I'm in doubt though, as there are numerous...

    Understanding delta

Hi @David Harper CFA FRM & @Nicole Seaman, I'm reviewing chapter 16 of book 4 and came across this example in the instructional video and got confused: In this example the delta becomes more negative and part of the portfolio should be sold. However I wrote down in previous part of the video...

Course Errors Found in 2021/2022 Study Materials P1.T4. Valuation & Risk Models

Just a small note on the instructional video: P1.T4.Hull-Ch15-Black-Scholes slide 13. Should be 0.2/sqrt(3) not sqrt(0.2/3).

    2021/2022 Curriculum Change Analysis Spreadsheets

Very nice to see indeed. I tried to look at the books for any idea of syllabus changes. Apart from the 1 LO change for book Foundations and (none in quantitative methods), I don't see any changes contentwise (number of pages, quick diagonal scan through the pages). Thanks for the update...

Looked at them very briefly (did not look at wording changes in detail) based on the LOS 2022 on the site. Might be useful for some. Best, Enjo

    2020/2021 Curriculum Change Analysis Spreadsheets

Just a random question I don't know if I put it in the right category so don't blame me for putting it here under errata. The subscription for FRM2022 has not officially started, so will subscribers to BT get a notification of the changes in terms of 2022 curriculum? I imagine that you will not...
